Description
From the steep slopes of High Valley we have produced this classic Italian style wine. Nero D' Avola is one of Italy's indigenous varieties. The canopy holds up well to extreme heat, and the berries can handle high elevation and lack of water. This is the first vintage from these vines, we aged it in oak barrels for two years to allow the oak and the fruit to harmonize. Floral notes, tart cherries and black tea fills the aroma blending with flavors of fresh plum, toasted walnuts and black olive and notes of dried cherries.
